After a strong and profitable growth during 2007 and 2008, Transwede Airways has not been operating during 2010 and the board has decided that all activities in the company will end as per 31 March 2010.

The ACMI/wet lease market for Avro/RJ was badly hit by the financial crisis and more or less collapsed during 2009. There are very few indications of a return to justify continued operations.

On this background, 3 RJ70 of Transwedes 6 RJ aircraft have been redelivered to BAE according to plan, and 3 aircraft are transferred to Malmø Aviation. The AOC and operating license have been handed back as per 28 February.
